Like all JBL products, the R3500 is engineered for precise sound reproduction. The premium built-in amplifier delivers 4x40 watts RMS @ 4 ohms with 4x55 peak @ 4 ohms. This allows it to blast over the roar of engines yet deliver the finesse needed when anchored in a secluded cove. Two-ohm stable, it'll power up to eight 4-ohm speakers wired in parallel without an additional amplifier but can be easily expanded with a set of designated pre-outs.
The JBL-R3500 features a bold, contemporary design. At only 6.4" L x 2.9" H with a depth of 4.25", it can be flush or surface mounted into the smallest dash, console or cockpit wall. The slim faceplate is UV-resistant, weatherproof and beer-proof; the rear of the unit is IPX3.
While compact, the controls of the JBL-R3500 are ergonomically designed for simplicity and ease of use. The 4" LCD high-contrast monochromatic display screen is readable in bright sun and illuminated for dusk and evening use.
