With Climate Control, Boats Are More Comfortable

November 2022 News

While extreme temperatures may keep some boat owners on shore, it doesn't for those with a Webasto BlueCool S-Series or FCF Series self-contained air conditioning unit on board. Featuring integrated reverse cycle heating, the climate control solutions create comfortable environments in up to three cabin spaces. Ideal for recreational and commercial vessels, they're extremely compact, easy to retrofit and draw very little power.

Intelligently-designed Webasto BlueCool S-Series and FCF air conditioners are completely self-contained and feature integrated drop-in trays. Combined with their compact dimensions, as small as 11.2" L x 16" W x 11.6" H for the FCFP 6,000 model, they're easy to retrofit into confined storage compartments and engine room spaces.

Beyond their highly-efficient heating and cooling capacities, Webasto BlueCool S-Series and FCF air conditioners are quiet. Compressors are mounted in such a way to eliminate noise and vibration, making them virtually silent.

Webasto BlueCool S-Series air conditioners are offered in five 115V models, from 6,000 to 16,000 BTU/h. Seven 230V versions are available, from 6,000 to 27,000 BTU/h. All units within the series use highly-efficient R410a refrigerant and are engineered to run 24/7, even in tropical conditions. With low power consumption, from 3.6-15.7A, depending on the model, they're economical to run. With a USB port, they're simple to configure with a PC. The units are controlled with the included next-generation Webasto MyTouch color display.

The FCF Classic Series of Webasto air conditioners are offered in 12,000 and 16,000 BTU/h models, both in 115V or 230V. Amperage ranges between 4.5A and 11A, depending on the model and voltage. Its frame is baked-on enamel and the condensation tray is stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance. The high-velocity, three-speed blower is rated at 410 cfm and 505 cfm, respectively, and rotates 360°. It comes standard with the innovative handheld FCF Remote Control.

Webasto's FCF Platinum line features six models that range from 6,000 to 25,000 BTU/h, all available in 115 or 230V. They range in amperage draw from 2.4A to 11A, depending on the model and voltage. Each is designed with a narrow footprint for versatile installation choices in limited clearance spaces, protected by a stainless steel frame. A cupronickel evaporator is standard. The FCF Remote Control is available with the Platinum units. More information is available at www.webasto-comfort.com/en-us/air-conditioning-solutions/marine.
