100A Cable Sets Combine Quality, Versatility

September 2022 News

Slight variances in power delivery can occur with some marine cable sets, which may become a critical problem on a vessel needing 100A service. But owners of Hubbell Marine cable sets rest confidently in the fact that products are manufactured in controlled conditions to ensure each accommodates its full 100A.

Every Hubbell Marine 100A device uses specially-compounded cable rated to 221˚ F for dependable electricity flow. Its super-tough, UL- and CSA-listed nylon terminal housings provide both safety and superior wear resistance. A gasketed locking ring that rotates upon engagement with the matching receptacle creates a completely watertight seal.

Long life is assured with massive external cable grips, which protect internal wiring from conductor movement that can strain the terminals. Stainless steel screws provide exceptional corrosion resistance, while special keying simplifies proper connector alignment for quick hookups every time out.

Inside all Hubbell Marine cable set terminals are high-impact, thermoset contact carriers highly resistant to heat and arcing. Nickel-plated brass pins and contacts provide secure and reliable connections in even highly corrosive saltwater marine environments.

These 100A cable sets are offered in 50', 75', 100' and 125' lengths in classic white or high-visibility yellow. Various models are intended for use with an onboard isolation transformer or a cable winch system.

First to offer 100A marine-grade pin-and-sleeve devices, Hubbell helped develop industry safety standards for the product category with the National Electric Code and the American Boat and Yacht Council. Suggested retail prices for Hubbell Marine 100A cable sets vary. One of its most popular models, CW100IT4, is a 100' yellow cord for use with a cable winch system and onboard isolation transformer. Its suggested retail price is $3,174.
