Elevator Lift Installs Virtually Anywhere

June 2022 News

Savvy owners who store their boats on a Golden Elevator Lift see the advantages: improved fuel economy, added speed and no back-breaking scrubbing to keep a hull clean. They also know that because this boat lift doesn't require piles, it can be installed virtually anywhere. And some applications make that a fun challenge for Golden.

This was the case with a recent installation in Lagos, Nigeria. A custom Golden Elevator Lift was engineered to fit inside a large concrete boat well with 27° side walls. The construction team dammed the slip and drained the water to mount the tracks.

Built for long-lasting, trouble-free service, the Golden Elevator Lift uses only fully welded 6061 T6 marine grade aluminum and 300 series stainless steel. The Golden Elevator Lift works by raising and lowering the boat cradle along extruded double I-beams. This ensures stability and even load distribution while Nylatron wheels ensure smooth operation.

The brawn behind the 20,000 lb. capacity Golden Elevator Lift is the Golden Sea-Drive® (U.S. Patent No. 7,850,147). A pair easily lifts the owner's large offshore center console with a stepped hull. Each features 5/8" oversized hardened drive bolts and a shaft that's machine fitted to the gearbox without using spacers. Delivering 8,000 in-lbs. of torque at 0.98 hp input, the two drives turn the stainless steel cable along deeply grooved solid aluminum winder shafts for fast and reliable operation.

Golden Elevator Lifts are manufactured in the USA to rigorous ISO 9001:2015 standards and CE approved. They're so well built, Golden Manufacturing backs them with a warranty for 15 years on structural parts and 10 years on the Golden Sea-Drive.
