The NCCO system removes pollutants such as allergens, viruses, bacteria, TVOC’s (total volatile organic compounds,) smoke, and odors without releasing toxins back into the environment. NCCO technology eliminates what HEPA air purifiers can’t. Westinghouse air purifiers don’t just trap PM25 particulate like; pollen, allergens, germs, and dust, it eliminates them when conventional air purifiers, with HEPA filtration alone or active charcoal, only capture these harmful pollutants.
The Westinghouse 1701 and 1702 Air Purifiers use the four-stage technology to clean indoor air, Incoming dirty air moves through a Pre-filter, Oxygen Generator, True HEPA filter, and the patented NCCO Reactor. Active oxygen and contaminated air pass through the HEPA filter where particulate pollution is captured (germs, viruses, and allergens), and the Active Oxygen attacks these particulates rendering them inert. The gaseous pollutants (VOCs, odors, smoke) enter the NCCO Reactor where contaminants are broken down by the active oxygen and converted into harmless compounds like carbon-dioxide and water molecules, some of which are trapped in the catalytic material or released as sanitized air. The Westinghouse 1701 is designed for spaces up to 300 square feet, while dual filtration capabilities in the 1702 can handle spaces up to 500 square feet. 
At the office, on the Great Lakes, or while traveling, the Westinghouse 1804 Portable Air Purifier is battery operated and can sanitize and clean air within a personal space for up to eight hours utilizing the same patented NCOO technology. Westinghouse air purifiers sanitize up to 99.97% of harmful air, kill up to 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, and remove 99.72% of suspended particulates in smoke. Each purifier features an H13 medical-grade True HEPA that filters 99.97% of airborne pollutants, dust, pollen, and other allergens as small as 0.3 microns. Each HEPA filter lasts up to 3,000 hours (4 months) of use, and a filter indicator will provide an alert when it needs to be changed. The Patented NCCO reactor has a functional lifespan of 3 to 5 years before a replacement is suggested.
