MarineMax recently announced their purchase of SkipperBud’s. SkipperBud’s is a large sales, brokerage, service, marina and storage group that boasts 20 locations scattered throughout the Great Lakes region and the rest of the country.
Founded over 60 years ago, SkipperBud’s has grown greatly over the years in expanding its locations and brands. Michael Pretasky Jr. has led the company over the past 14 years and will continue to do so alongside other shareholders.
Acquiring SkipperBud’s corresponds with MarineMax’s long-term goals to cultivate its cycle-resilient, higher-margin businesses.
