Argos Nautic's Diesel Tender Concept

February 2020 News

Argos Nautic, builder of bespoke luxury RIB tenders, is debuting a new diesel-powered concept at the Miami Yacht Show, Feb. 13–17, tent 2, booth 313B. The 450 will carry seven passengers in 15' 6" of opulent comfort; at 17' 8", the sumptuous 515 will accommodate nine. Expected delivery is summer 2020.

The 450 and 515 will carry forward Argos Nautic's refined aesthetic and attention to meticulous detail. The boatbuilder is renowned for its approach to customization and the new boats are no exception. Every color, texture and finish are chosen in consultation with the owner. Whether matching the mothership in every detail or a making a bold personal statement, the result are tenders unlike any other.

Argos Nautic selects only premium components to finish its boats. With an Isotta steering wheel with tilt steering, teak flooring, a Fusion sound system and high-end hardware, there will be no mistaking the 450 and 515 for production boats.

Most larger vessels run on diesel, making the 450 and 515 tenders highly appealing to owners who don't want the weight and hassle of two fuels on board. Additionally, the boats' overall designed heights are significantly reduced over a comparably-sized outboard-powered boat. This will make it easy to launch and recover the tenders from a garage.

For boats with davits or a crane, the Argos Nautic 450 and 515 will be ideal. With designed weights of only 1,896 lbs. and 2,094 lbs., respectively, they'll be light enough to easily retrieve from the water.

The 450 and 515 will both carry a 110 hp Yanmar engine. With this propulsion configuration, the boats are calculated to turn a top speed of 38 mph. The Argos Nautic 450 will start at $80,000; the 515, $90,000.
