August 2017 News

The Simrad GO9 display was recognized at the West Marine Very Important Vendor (VIV) Awards presented at this year’s 2017 VIV Conference. The chartplotter was selected as the Best New Product of the Year, and Navico — parent company to the Simrad brand of marine electronics — was selected for driving Best Store Support.

The Simrad GO9 XSE chartplotter is the latest addition to the popular GO Series of multi-touch displays. Packed full of features, it has easy-to-use, touchscreen controls that smartphone and tablet users will instantly find familiar. Boaters can view charts, add waypoints and see key information on a large nine-inch widescreen display.

Matched with the TotalScan Transducer, GO9 delivers a complete underwater view for anglers, including fish-finding CHIRP sonar and StructureScan HD for lifelike side-scanning images of fish-holding structure, as well as revealing detail directly beneath the boat with DownScan Imaging.

Additionally, the GO9 XSE is fully compatible with award-winning Simrad Broadband 3G/4G Radar systems and SiriusXM weather/radio (U.S. only) and features an internal 10 Hertz GPS receiver. Boaters also benefit from the fully networkable GO9 display that provides autopilot integration for precision control, engine data monitoring, full audio entertainment connectivity with SonicHub2, built-in wireless connectivity and the powerful Simrad TripIntel trip computer.

With more than 250 stores located in 38 states and Puerto Rico and an e-commerce website reaching domestic, international and professional customers, West Marine is recognized as a leading Waterlife Outfitter for cruisers, sailors, anglers and paddlesports enthusiasts.
