The city of Port Huron is dredging the Black River Canal for the first time in four years -- a move that pleases local boaters who use it as a shortcut from the river to Lake Huron. The work started Wednesday at the headwaters of the canal -- where it meets Lake Huron just south of Krafft Road -- and will continue through the month. |
