2. Safety is key
The biggest and best thing to know about before setting sail is boat safety. You want to make sure your boat is up-to-date and that all safety measures are prepared on board. This may include checking the weather, making sure you have enough life vests per guest, or making sure at least two people on board know how to drive the boat. You may also want to create a checklist of safety items to go over before you begin your adventure on the lake.
