Guided Tour — Bayfield, Wisconsin

Escaping to the Caribbean of the North

Published in the October 2017 Issue September 2017 Feature

Dubbed by many as the Caribbean of the North, there are several reasons to visit Bayfield, Wis., and all Lake Superior has to offer. For starters you can spend a day exploring the downtown shops and restaurants, catch the ferry over to Madeline Island for a little adventure, cruise out to the water-sculpted sea caves or simply set sail and rediscover the famous Apostle Islands lighthouses. You can also hike into the sunny berry fields and apple orchards to pick your own sweet, juicy bounty. Or just drink in the wide, soul-restoring vistas of Lake Superior. And with autumn on the horizon, be sure to check the Wisconsin color report and head up to savor the beauty and bounty of the fall harvest.
