Crownline Introduces New Crossover Ahead Of FLIBS

October 2017 Feature, News Vanessa Oler Web Exclusive

With a luxury deck fit for a yacht, Crownline’s newest crossover sterndrive, the Eclipse E27, does not disappoint. This versatile boat contradicts the typical style and performance you expect when you think “deckboat.” Maximizing every square inch, the Eclipse E27’s deck hosts all the amenities needed for comfort and entertainment. Crownline paired this beautifully functional deck with their proven F.A.S.T. Tab hull design for a responsive, exciting ride, superb handling and the sexiest profile on the water.

“We’re a design driven company,” says Crownline VP and General Manager Kevin Riem, “designed by boaters, designed for boaters. And the new E series exemplifies that.”

The E27 weighs in heavier than other manufacturer’s models in this category. The additional weight underscores the Crownline’s commitment to quality. Cutting no corners in design or costs, the superior hull design is built to handle rough waters with ease.

Stainless-steel ski tow rail with eye is standard, with an optional wakeboard tower for more serious riders. The E27 transom features a full wrap-around swim platform with a soft touch mat for safe boarding. A four-step, stainless-steel ladder and standard handheld transom shower makes transitioning in and out of the water seamless.

All music enthusiasts will be very happy with the stereo on the Eclipse. Launched just last year, the Kicker KMC10 comes standard in every E27.

“We’re thrilled to be involved with Crownline,” Marine Markets Sales Engineer Phil White says. “For me personally, Crownline is the premier fiberglass, sterndrive manufacturer on the market. It’s pretty cool to be included in this launch.”

The Kicker KMC10 stereo has an IP67 waterproof rating and features a full color LCD display, variable dimmer with day and night mode, AM/FM weatherband multi-regional tuner, USB with iPod, iPhone and Android charge, AUX input and Bluetooth. And, there are eight splash-proof Wet Sounds speakers throughout the boat, including two at the transom.

The black diamond steering wheel is a beautiful new feature for the 2018 model year. Comfortable and spacious, the J-shaped cockpit area is perfect for entertaining, with plenty of room to move about. The portable side-mount table conveniently and easily mounts in the cockpit or bow for a leisurely lunch or romantic dinner. The beautifully appointed, hand-wrapped dash features a Raymarine seven-inch, highly visible touchscreen with sonar and engine information display.

The Crownline E27 was designed and built to meet or exceed quality and safety standards set by the U.S. Coast Guard. The cockpit is easily accessed through the gated transom walk-thru, a great safety feature for young boaters. Additional safety attributes include strategically placed stainless-steel grab handles, pop-up cleats, deep freeboards, a flush-fit bow walk-thru door and dual deluxe bucket seats with flip-up bolsters for increased ability to see when the situation requires.
