Safe Harbor Marinas and Brewer Yacht Yards have announced that they are combining to become the largest owner and operator of marinas in the United States. Their 63 properties in 17 states will hold 30,000 boats.
This new merger builds on the strengths of both organizations. The Brewer brand will continue with business as usual and is expanding to include five new locations that have been operating as Safe Harbor marinas.
“While Brewer is becoming part of the Safe Harbor family, it is important to note that the legendary Brewer brand isn’t going anywhere and will continue to operate independently under the Safe Harbor umbrella,” Jack Brewer and Marshall Funk said in a letter to members.
“Additionally, the board and leadership of the combined company will be made up of executives from both Safe Harbor and Brewer,” they wrote. “This will ensure our strategic vision, emphasis on the boating industry family and delivering long-term excellence remain ingrained throughout the company.”
