6. Blair Museum of Lithophanes - Toledo, Ohio
Popular in Victorian times, lithophanes are delicate sheets of stone that have detailed images etched into them, that can only really be seen when they are backlit. This museum started in the early 1960’s by Laurel Gotshall Blair when he first started collecting the odd art pieces. The museum holds over 2,000 panes and the display claims to be the largest of its kind in the world.
