On the water, there's almost no such thing as too much light, especially when throttled up. The new high-performance Sea Hawk-470 Light Bar combines LED pencil beam long-distance visibility and the distinctive ambient glowing signature of Hella marine's Edge Light technology.
New optics enhance the spotlight functionality of this addition to the Sea Hawk-470 product family for a powerful bright white light range of 330m at one lux and a maximum luminous intensity of 113,000 candelas. The new Edge Light feature comes in a choice of clean white or vibrant blue, providing unique ambient illumination options for the foredeck. This versatile lamp can operate with just the spotlight, only the Edge Light or both for maximum output.
Completely sealed to IP 67 standards, the Hella Sea Hawk-470 has a sleek, modern design. Available with a black or white UV- and corrosion-resistant polymer housing, it's thermally conductive to draw heat away from the internal electronics for reliable operation. The heavy-duty Grilamid® lens is chemical- and impact-resistant, and won't lose its clarity or brittle over time.
Measuring only 20.86" L x 2.24" H x 2.64" D, the Sea Hawk-470 will install in a wide range of vessel locations. With a highly-adaptable polished stainless steel mounting bracket, it can be mounted upright or pendant. An available double-stack bracket allows two lights to be fitted and aimed together or slightly apart.
The Hella Sea Hawk-470 LED Light Bar features Multivolt™ 12/24V DC electronic circuitry to protect against voltage fluctuation and battery charging spikes. When using the pencil beam, the fixture runs on 36W and draws 2.7A@12V or 1.4A@24V; the Edge Light is 4W and 300mA@12V or 150mA@24V. The fixture is pre-wired with 2.5m of tinned multi-core cable. Like all Hella marine lights, the Sea Hawk-470 is electromagnetic compatible to suppress potential interference with radios, navigation and other onboard electronic devices. It comes with a five-year warranty and has a suggested retail price of $350.
