Globemaster Compass Important Part of Any Navigator Toolbox

January 2022 News

Those who venture far offshore understand that a magnetic compass is still an important part of any navigator's toolbox. The Ritchie Navigation 5" Globemaster Binnacle-Mounted Compass provides an exact course heading no matter the speed and becomes crucial in the event of a power failure.

The Globemaster is available in three dial styles: five- or two-degree marks, or two-degree marks with points. Designed for use in any lighting condition, the black 5" PowerDamp dial has vivid white numerals and degree marks plus yellow 45° and 90° lubber lines. The compass is offered with integrated 12V, 24V or 32V green or red LED lighting.

Engineered for extreme offshore conditions, the Ritchie Globemaster dial is set on a hardened steel gimbal with a jeweled bearing. Built-in compensators ensure the card moves smoothly without spinning or jumping.

Ideal for sailboats, yachts, sportfishers or workboats, the Globemaster has a lightweight, easy-to-align 7.3" dia. mounting base that fits popular binnacle sizes and installs on a flat surface; all hardware is included. It's offered with a brushed stainless steel or black wrinkle finish housing.

The Ritchie Navigation SP-5 Globemaster 5" Binnacle-Mounted Compass is 100% repairable and backed by a five-year warranty. MSRP ranges from $948.89 to $954.89.
