Chris Lessway named MBIA’s Membership Manager

The Michigan Boating Industries Association (MBIA) has hired Chris Lessway as their Membership Manager. Lessway will be responsible for membership retention and growth, benefit programs, outreach, and more. He started at MBIA on Thursday, June 13.

“We look forward to Chris’ leadership and growth of MBIA membership and engagement with current members,” said MBIA Executive Director Nicki Polan. “We look forward to having him on our staff and his contributions to MBIA and the recreational boating industry.”

Lessway is an experienced Fly-Fishing Guide with industry knowledge, experience in management and trade shows as well as marketing and advertising. He is also a writer with many published columns on fishing around the country. Chris studied business management at Eastern Michigan University and has a U.S. Coast Guard Captains License.

MBIA is a state-wide trade association representing the recreational boating industry in Michigan.  MBIA membership is comprised of businesses which manufacture, distribute, service and sell recreational marine products.  MBIA also produces the Detroit Boat Show at Cobo Center in Detroit, the Novi Boat Show at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, and the Metro Boat Show in Harrison Twp., Mich.  For more information go to www.mbia.org.
