Boaters Eager to Return to the Water at the Novi Boat Show

The Novi Boat Show wrapped up a four-day run at the Suburban Collection Showplace this Sunday with nearly 12,000 people attending. Exhibitors reported positive sales as spring nears.

“The show was 40% larger, we had the new Harborside Market attraction, and boat sales are still on the rise – all of these factors attribute to more people enjoying the show,” said Show Manager Nicki Polan.

“While there is always some crossover from the Detroit Boat Show, our staff was happy to see a lot of new faces at this show,” said Patti Smith of Silver Spray Sports and the MBIA’s Board Chair. “People were impressed with the bigger show and are very ready for warm weather to be out on the water boating.”

“This year’s Novi Boat Show was our most successful yet!” said exhibitor Steve Brown from Creek Meadow Marine. “People are interested in gearing up for the boating season.”

At 415,000 square feet of exhibition space, the Novi Boat Show was sold out wall-to-wall – featuring boats from 10 – 35 feet in length. Promotions like the Paint-A-Paddle Workshop, Go Dive Now scuba pool and the Kids Zone were also a hit for show goers.

The Novi Boat Show is produced by the Michigan Boating Industries Association (MBIA), a state-wide marine trade association representing Michigan’s $7.4 billion boating industry.
