Boston Whaler Donates To Support Local Nonprofit Arts Organization

August 2017 News

Boston Whaler recently donated more than $1,400 to Atlantic Center for the Arts (ACA) in support of the center’s community programs. Whaler Director of Consumer Experiences Nathan Abdalian and Marketing & Sales Event Coordinator Anna Collins presented a check for the donation and met with students and teachers at ACA on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.

“We’re proud to present this check to Atlantic Center for the Arts in support of its terrific programs,” said Abdalian. “On behalf of the entire Boston Whaler team, we are so grateful to our local community for their ongoing support. It’s rewarding to celebrate that community and be able to give back.”

The money was raised during this year’s IMAGES art festival, an annual event held in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, through the raffle of two custom art pieces, each featuring a Boston Whaler boat.

The money raised by Boston Whaler will go toward summer art camp scholarships for children who would not otherwise be able to attend; every $100 raised sends a child to a week of camp.

“The ACA team deeply appreciates the level of involvement Boston Whaler has had these past few years with IMAGES and our community, raising money to send our kids to summer art camp,” said Heather Paternoster, Special Events Coordinator for ACA.

Atlantic Center for the Arts is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3), interdisciplinary artists-in-residence community and arts education facility dedicated to promoting artistic excellence by providing talented artists an opportunity to work and collaborate with some of the world’s most distinguished contemporary artists in the fields of music composition and the visual, literary and performing arts. Community interaction is coordinated through on-site and outreach presentations, workshops and exhibitions.

For nearly 60 years, Boston Whaler has been building superior quality unsinkable runabouts, cruisers and center console boats. Founded in 1958 and currently headquartered in Edgewater, Florida., the company’s unique foam-cored construction process contributes not only unsurpassed flotation but also superior ride characteristics and durability. The current product line ranges from 11 to 42 feet and is distributed around the world by a network of exceptional dealers.
