SAUGATUCK, MI – An Oregon bait supplier that sold uncertified Pacific herring in Michigan has been fined $2,000, the state Department of Natural Resources said.
The fish, known as a carrier of viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus, or VHS, is a disease risk for state waters.
