November 12, 2013 - Centerpointe Yacht Services LLC closed on the acquisition of Great Lakes Yacht Services, Inc. of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin on October 11, 2013, making CenterPointe the largest service yard in northeast Wisconsin. The purchase includes 4 acres of waterfront land with over 800’ of dockwall, a 70 ton Marine Travelift, and 110,000 square feet of buildings housing six dedicated shops for woodworking, machining & metal fabrication, electrical, engine/mechanical, rigging and fiberglass. In addition to the shop space, the combined operations now consist of over 100,000 square feet of indoor boat storage and a dedicated 15,000 square foot new and brokerage showroom. CenterPointe’s newly expanded service capabilities range from small outboard powerboats to large custom yachts. CenterPointe will specialize in major repairs including refit and insurance work by taking advantage of the infrastructure established by Palmer Johnson over the years.
