Michigan waterways commission creates emergency dredging plan as Great Lakes levels drop
LANSING, MI - Michigan officials are creating an emergency harbor dredging plan, building on a budget proposal from Gov. Rick Snyder as Great Lakes water levels drop.
The Michigan State Waterways Commission adopted an emergency dredging plan aimed at providing zero-match grant opportunities for harbors of refuge, recreational boating harbors, marinas and boat launches.
