Large crowd takes Polar Plunge into Lake Ontario
With bandanas and eyepatches covering many of their faces, Greg Bales and his friends looked at home in the sea of costumed daredevils, all ready to dive into the frigid waters of Lake Ontario.
At the Polar Plunge, costumes have become such an integral part of the tradition that some newcomers didn’t even realize that the right getup could win you a prize.
