Waterways Caucus: Michigan Sen. Goeff Hansen establishes Great Lakes legislative group to tackle dredging and more

LANSING, MI – A West Michigan senator is helping forge a bipartisan coalition of senators and House members to promote and advance the state’s waterways, especially dredging for low-water levels.

Great Lakes issues will be the focus of the newly created Legislative Waterways Caucus in the Michigan Legislature, Sen. Goeff Hansen, R-Hart, announced late this week. Hansen co-chairs the new caucus with fellow Sen. Jack Brandenburg, R-Harrison Township.
