H2Ontario: ebb and flow of the Great Lakes fishery

WELLINGTON, ONT.—It’s still on the darkish side of 7 a.m. as Kendall Dewey begins hauling in 200 yards of gill net from the placid waters of Lake Ontario.

“They’re coming good now,” he says of the yellow perch being lifted aboard Matthew T, the boat christened after his son. “A real nice school moved through here.”
