Voyage to the bottom of the lakes
Explore Great Lakes lore at the 30th Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival, presented by the Ford Seahorses Scuba Diving Club in conjunction with the Detroit Historical Society's Dossin Maritime Group and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum.The event will offer underwater photos, video footage and information on shipwreck discoveries, including the Lady Elgin, a sidewheel steamer that sank in Lake Michigan in 1860, and the Marion Egan, a Civil War-era two-masted schooner that sank in 1875 and was recently found intact in Lake Huron.
