Baitfish policy studied

Anglers may catch a break when it comes to transporting their own baitfish. This month, the state Department of Environmental Conservation will propose revisions to its stringent 2007 policy banning the transport of uncertified baitfish by motor vehicle. With the revisions, the policy would be modified to allow baitfish to be transported overland within specified transportation corridors. Anglers still would be required to use the baitfish in the same body of water in which they were caught.
