Grand Rapids Boat Show cruises into DeVos Place
Big boats are returning to the Grand Rapids Boat Show. After two tough years where economic conditions limited what boat dealers would bring to show, things are looking up, show organizers said. "It’s come back around," said Henri Boucher, Showspan’s producer of the 66th annual Grand Rapids Boat Show opening Wednesday at DeVos Place. "The last couple of years, the boat industry was caving in due to credit problems (and a glut of repossessed boats) and it was hard to maintain the show. But things are back to normal this year. The show is in very good shape."
