About Boating Safely

A “SAFE BOATING” course ( Michigan’s DNR “Boat Michigan” course ) will be offered by the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, Lansing Flotilla, on Saturday, February 19th, 2011, commencing @  7:45 am to 5 pm at  the American Legion Post 238, 1785 S. Cedar St., Holt, Michigan  48842 (south of Holt Road, west side of Cedar St.).   

Michigan law requires individuals born after 12/31/78, who operate Personal Watercraft (Jet Skis) and boats with motors in excess of 6 HP to possess a “Safe Boating Certificate”  when on the water.    To obtain your “Boating Certificate” attend and complete this course, which  includes:  course study w/booklet, exam and Boating Certificate (for those who successfully complete the course exam) all offered from this one-day, 8 hour session.   (Bring pens, snacks, beverages & lunch items: refrigeration provided.) 

Course fee = $ 25. 00 per person – LIMITED SEATING - Registration is required.
