Great Lakes Bay Region eyed as the next solar energy hub

The Solar Valley Research Enterprise, a project of Dow Corning Corp., Hemlock Semiconductor Group, Oakridge National Lab and the University of Toledo, recently received a $6 million Michigan Economic Development Grant — a first step towards the $70 million needed to get the project off the ground.
