EPA grant will aid Black, Oatka creedk watersheds
BATAVIA, NY -- Genesee, Wyoming and Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation Districts will share $536,000 of EPA Great Lakes Restoration Initiative funding for conservation projects in the Black Creek and Oatka Creek watersheds. The NYS Soil & Water Conservation Committee was awarded a $536,000 grant under the Great Lakes Program for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control. The proposal, "Black and Oatka Creek Erosion and Sediment Control," is the only New York State project funded, and one of only nine grants awarded throughout the Great Lakes.
