Port of prosperity: Shipping up 52 percent
PORTAGE --The Port of Indiana is seeing an increase in the amount of cargo arriving in Portage in 2010. On Wednesday, the Miedwie, which sails under the Bahamas flag and is operated by a Polish shipping company, arrived on its maiden voyage with 8,700 tons of steel for local manufacturing companies.
