The dedication this Saturday of Egg Harbor's new $6.4-million, 63-slip marina is the concluding act in a drama that has played out for more than a decade. The event begins at 10:30 a.m. with an invocation, blessing of the fleet and sounding of vessel horns. A memorial to the Erie L. Hackley, which sank while en route to Egg Harbor more than a century ago, is to be dedicated at 11:30. The University of Wisconsin Marching Band is scheduled to perform a pep rally at noon. |
