Coal shipments on the Great Lakes totaled nearly 4.1 million net tons in July. That was an increase of 5.7 percent over June and an increase of 26 percent compared to a year ago, according to the Lake Carriers’ Association. However, loadings were down 3.4 percent from the month’s five-year average. |
