Algae bloom grows in Lake Erie

Gail Hesse, of the Ohio EPA's task force, presented the findings Thursday at Stone Lab. Marblehead water plant superintendent Bob Biers said even though the bloom, dozens of miles long, was near his location between the tip of the Marblehead Peninsula and Kelleys Island, it had no effect on the drinking water his plant produces.
