2 billion gallons of sewage, storm water dumped into Lake Michigan, rivers

MILWAUKEE - A report to state environmental officials says more than 2 billion gallons of untreated sewage and storm water were dumped into Lake Michigan and Milwaukee area rivers during the recent storms. The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District's report to the Department of Natural Resources says that's more than four times the capacity of its deep tunnel storage system.
