Congresswoman Louise Slaughter and Congressman Bill Owens announced Tuesday that $5 million in funding for harbors in Monroe and surrounding counties is one step closer to becoming available. The money is designed to help maintain and dredge harbors across Lake Ontario. The funding comes from the Niagara River Navigation Fund. The measure won approval from a key subcommittee. |
