COLLINS — Lakeshore swimmers beware: There's a "bionic guppy" lurking in Lake Michigan. Be on the lookout for a 13,400-pound, red, white and blue beast. It's made of steel, and is driven by Jim Kocourek. Kocourek, who owns Kocourek Painting in Collins, spent the past five years designing and building his personal submersible, named the Bionic Guppy. |
