Mackinac race: Beau Geste blazes to island

Beau Geste started and finished the 86th running of the Port Huron-to-Mackinac race in heavy rain. Regardless of the dismal weather conditions, the 80-foot boat from Hong Kong turned in an impressive Mackinac debut. Beau Geste won the first-to-the-island title by crossing the finish line at 6:07.49 p.m. Sunday.
