Feds seek input on border security, environment

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is looking for public input on how efforts to secure the northern border affect the environment. Agency officials will hold presentations at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. tonight at the Quality Inn, West Orvis Street, to provide information and gather public input on environmental impact studies the department has planned on Border Patrol and U.S. Customs operations in the region.
