Milwaukee, WI - As the sun punched into the humid Milwaukee sky Wednesday morning, it revealed a typical summer scene along the Lake Michigan shore: Joggers padded along the Veterans Park trail, early commuters zipped down Lincoln Memorial Drive and dozens of anglers lined Government Pier near McKinley Marina. Most of the fishermen had been there for an hour or more. From atop the pier there were occasional calls of "Net!" and "Here's one" as anglers brought in yellow perch, brown trout and chinook salmon. |
