Macomb county is in line to receive grants totaling more than $1.5 million to restore wetlands and make other improvements, officials said today. The county's Planning and Economic Development Department is in the final stages of approval for the grants, which will be used to restore marshland on the Lake St. Clair coastline and install bioswales along Metro Parkway in Harrison Township, according to Gerard Santoro, senior planner with the department. |
