With the boating season shaping up to be a good one, some of the marinas near the Great Lakes are working on ways hard to make sure fuel and sewage don’t get spilled into the water, as part of Wisconsin’s new Clean Marina Program. Despite the recession’s cut into the market for luxury items like boats – the marina industry is taking on extra expense to learn how to protect Great Lakes and inland waterways from petroleum spills, or sewage or storm water runoff. |
