Wisconsin shipyards stay busy over winter by upgrading vessels

When the H. Lee White and Indiana Harbor started the 2010 shipping season, they did so with new, cleaner power plants installed at a pair of Wisconsin shipyards. That included work over the winter on the ship's service — power for equipment needed to run the ship under normal operation — electrical generation plants on the H. Lee White done at Bay Shipbuilding Co. in Sturgeon Bay.
