For more than 150 years, fish in the Cass River have been unable to swim past the Frankenmuth Dam. Building a shallow rock-formed rapids leading up to the dam will add about 73 miles of river and tributaries to the spawning habitat for sturgeon and walleye, said Bob Zeilinger, a Frankenmuth resident. |
