Coalition helps boaters navigate border
While Oakland County has more inland bodies of water than any other county in Michigan, many area boaters take the short drive to the Great Lakes, home to one-fifth of the world's surface freshwater. Nearby Lake St. Clair and the St. Clair River are popular summer boating venues and from there, it's just a short cruise to Canada.
