The new Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area received a $3 million boost from the federal government to help cover its $22.1 million price tag. “This is one more affirmation this is a globally important resource,” said April Scholtz of the Land Conservancy of West Michigan, the group that owns the 171 acres before it is transferred to the city of Saugatuck. |
