Water fees viewed as economic spark

When citizens show support for a new tax or government subsidies, Gunnar Vagenius expects elected officials to take note. While politicians understand the economic potential of fresh water as a development tool in southeast Wisconsin, the recent People Speak Poll indicates rank-and-file citizens also understand the impact water can have on the local economy and they are willing to pay higher rates for water if the additional fees are earmarked to help grow businesses in southeast Wisconsin.
