A challenge to Genesee County's permit to withdraw water from Lake Huron has been abandoned. Cheboygan County Drain Commissioner Dennis Lennox said his legal appeal to keep Genesee from tapping the lake was too expensive to continue. He withdrew the appeal Tuesday, saying he still opposes the project. |
