The denial of a $9.95 million federal grant is not stopping Grand Rapids' efforts to build two wind turbines along the Lakeshore. Grand Rapids officials learned last week the U.S. Department of Energy rejected the city's $9.95 million request to help build a $15 million wind and solar energy project at its Lake Michigan Water Filtration Plant, 11177 Lakeshore Drive. |
